Take A Look At The

Discovery Workshop

As an experienced facilitator, I lead Discovery workshops that are designed to align teams, uncover key insights, and set the foundation for successful projects. These workshops are structured to be highly interactive, ensuring that all stakeholders have a voice in shaping the direction of the project.

Pre-Workshop Research:

Before each Discovery workshop, we conduct thorough research to gather relevant data and insights. This helps us enter the workshop with a clear understanding of the landscape, customer needs, and market conditions, allowing for a more focused and productive session.

Workshop Components:

  1. Problem Statement:
We begin by clearly defining the problem we aim to solve. This statement is refined through team discussions and insights from the pre-workshop research. A well-defined problem statement ensures that everyone is on the same page and working towards a common goal.
  2. Ice Breaker:
To foster a collaborative environment, we start with an ice breaker. This activity is designed to get everyone comfortable, encourage open communication, and break down any barriers that might hinder creativity or honest discussion.
  3. Pain Points:
We dive deep into the pain points experienced by both users and stakeholders. Understanding these challenges is crucial to addressing the root causes of the problem and identifying areas for improvement.
  4. Tech Constraints:
We identify any technical constraints that may impact the project. Understanding these limitations early on helps us set realistic expectations and guides the ideation process, ensuring that proposed solutions are feasible within the given constraints.
  5. How Might We (HMW) Statements:
We translate the problem and pain points into actionable “How Might We” (HMW) statements. These statements serve as the foundation for brainstorming potential solutions and drive the ideation phase of the workshop.
  6. What Does Success Look Like?:
We conclude the workshop by defining success criteria. This involves setting clear, measurable goals that align with the problem statement and ensure that all efforts are directed towards achieving meaningful outcomes.

Outcome:
By the end of the Discovery workshop, we have a well-rounded understanding of the problem, potential solutions, and a clear path forward. The insights and decisions made during this session serve as a roadmap for the project’s success.
